Black Sabbath - headles cross(1989)
Man kann sagen dass ein Song überwiegend das ganze Jahr über die Nr.1 war. Der Hit „one" von Metallica des 1988 veröffentlichten Albums „And Justice for All" hielt sich monatelang auf den ersten Rängen der Rockcharts. Ebenso konnten Guns´n Roses das ganze Jahr über vom Vorjahresalbum „Appetite for Destruction" zehren. Auch wenn die „echten" Black Sabbath-Fans sich nicht mit dem neuen Sänger Toni Martin anfreunden konnten, so war der Song „Headless Cross" einer der meistgespielten Songs in 1989. Manowar veröffentlichte für die Fans aus Deutschland „Herz aus Stahl".
